JD obtained his MD from l’Université de Sherbrooke in 2007, and completed his residency at Queen’s University in 2012. After completing his fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology in 2013, he began his career at McMaster’s Children Hospital. He then moved to a large community hospital in the GTA where he led a review and systems change of the medical directives for paediatric patients, before returning to SickKids in 2022.

JD primarily works at SickKids and is the site coordinator for the UofT Residency Program where he is dedicated to a meaningful learner experience, while providing family-centred care. When he’s not working at SickKids, JD provides care to people of all ages and from all walks of life in a variety of settings, including internationally.

JD and his partner live in the city with their adventure seeking dog. They enjoy spending as much time exploring what the city has to offer when they aren’t traveling abroad that is!
